Happy Birthday Rosalie Grace Kennebeck!!!

Dearest Family and Friends,

It has been a while since we have written. Things are very busy around the Kennebeck house as we are winding up school and preparing for the summer months just around the corner. We had a wonderful visit from our daughter-in-law, Rebecca and our precious granddaughter, Aubrey in May. We got to love and kiss on that baby. Oh what a sweetie! Her daddy, Vincent, is serving in Iraq in the Army and will return home sometime in mid- December. Vincent and Rebecca are expecting another baby in December.

We are still waiting for a call from our agency about our travel dates to China! There have been many delays with travel as we had planned to be in China and back by this time. However, we are daily reminded of this: ALL that matters is God's timing in this situation!! If it were up to us, we would have Rosalie here with us already, enjoying getting to know her and involving her in our daily lives. However, God has told us to wait patiently as we renew our strength. We certainly want to be "mounted up with wings as eagles" when we travel. After all, this is NOT about us, but what the Lord is doing in and through us. We ask for your continued prayers for us and we await a call any day with our travel itinerary.

Today, May 28, is Rosalie's birthday! She is 5 years old today!

Oh, how we wish we could celebrate with her. This scripture comes to mind,
"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—

the great locust and the young locust,
the other locusts and the locust swarm
my great army that I sent among you." Joel 2:25

We feel many "locusts" have raged in Rosalie's life: in only 5 years, the "locusts" have swarmed upon her. Yet, we fully know and trust that HER Savior WILL restore the years the locusts have sought to devour. She will regain health and is nurtured and loved more than she knows.

We are grateful for intercession on Rosalie's behalf and for us as we wait and prepare for her. We'll keep you posted.

Much love in and because of Christ,
Nancy, for the Kennebecks
